The World Trade Organisation (WTO) is the international organization whose primary purpose is to open trade for the benefit of all.

The WTO's founding and guiding principles remain the pursuit of open borders, the guarantee of non-discriminatory treatment by and among members, and a commitment to transparency in the conduct of its activities.

The World Trade Organization has three official languages: English, French and Spanish. In French, the organization is known as Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC). In Spanish, Organización Mundial del Comercio (OMC).
