While search they are also encouraged to cross-promote the realtors brand to their social circle by way of a "friend feedback" option that allows their Facebook friends to participate in the home search experience. Having done this we realized there was a need in the Real Estate industry to reinvent the under-laying tech for which exchanging MLS data is built. It is a very closed and stubborn system to integrate with and that is why so few companies work with real estate data and also why companies like Zillow are so valuable. We decided to come up with a platform that would allow any developer to build world-class applications on top of real estate data and change how data is transacted in this industry.
