On the other end of the table was the Assistant Superintendent of a local school district who worked with the young man's father, also an Assistant Superintendent. After hearing the lengths to which school administrators went to hire excellent people for their school district...the epiphany occurred.

Abe Reese, the young man in this story and founder of Aspex Solutions, developed a piece of software that would soon transform the daunting task of sifting, sorting, and collecting employment applications. While designing this software, Abe refused to compromise on three elements: ease of use, intuitiveness, and flexibility.

Upon presenting this software, which would become the earliest version of AppliTrack, to Dr. Marvin Feinberg, the Assistant Superintendent at that dining room table, it was immediately put into use in his district. The result: a transformed hiring process that possessed all of the elements that Abe required...and more.

Fast forward 15 years: more than 3,000 school districts, 4.7 million applicants, and tens of thousands of school district users have reaped the benefits of the discussion held around that dining room table in 1998. That success caught the eye of Frontline Technologies, a leading provider of K-12 human capital management software, and in the summer of 2014, Frontline acquired Aspex Solutions. As part of the Frontline platform, AppliTrack is continuing to improve life for school district administrators and educators worldwide.
