LoveItaly is a non profit association that has its own crowdfunding platform, a powerful and innovative tool that can connect and engage international and local communities. The projects we sponsor in crowdfunding all aim to preserve the past for future generations through the restoration, preservation or exploration of important heritage monuments and art in Italy. All our projects are carefully evaluated by our Scientific Board, after which we gather funds from donors across the world. Our present projects feature: The restoration of the Domus del Centauro in Pompeii; The archeological excavation searching for the ancient temple of Romulus in the Colosseum Valley and The Restoration of a 17th century painting, Ecstasy of St. Teresa, by Palma the Younger, Titian’s pupil in the church of San Pancrazio. Our objective is to reach the countless number of people who love Italy, from those who have visited to those who dream of visiting and those who would like to return and enable them to support the art and culture that is such a quintessential part of the Italian experience. Additionally, we have set-up mechanisms to accept private and corporate funding in Italy and in the United States, through our 501(c)3 organization, American Friends of LoveItaly.
