In 2010, JumpStart seeded Tbilisi-based Open Maps Caucasus which built the first complete, digital, open map of the Republic of Georgia.

In 2011, OMC became known as JumpStart Georgia. Inspired by the success of the mapping project, JumpStart Georgia now advocates for open data in government, businesses and civil society. In addition, JumpStart builds data-driven tools to engage Georgians around important social issues. Finally, JumpStart collaborates with organizations to strengthen their capacities to use data to inform and engage the public.
