Golden Gate Ventures was founded by Vinnie Lauria, Paul Bragiel and Jeffrey Paine. The firm invests in early-stage technology companies in Southeast Asia and North America and bridges Silicon Valley and Asia. As of May 31, 2013 the firm has invested in over 10 companies.

Apart from making investments, Golden Gate Ventures is committed to building the region's entrepreneurial ecosystem and has led community programs such as SuperHappyDevHouse, WalkAbout Singapore, FailCon, Founders in the Bay, Social Innovation Camp Asia (Kuala Lumpur) and OpenCoffee Club-Singapore.
