There are risks of lost/damaged packages, risk of receiving items not as described (ie fake designer items), risk of being stuck with an item that doesn’t fit and it also limits the items that can be sold – for example heavy or large items like wedding dresses or mink coats wouldn’t be worth the shipping fees. Therefore, Fashion Forward works like Kijiji and Craigslist where sellers post pictures and descriptions of items they are selling and wait to hear from interested buyers. From there, buyers and sellers meet in their local area to exchange cash for goods. The advantage for sellers is that there are no listing fees and no commission making us the most profitable way to re-sell fashion. Additionally, the fact that we are exclusive to fashion means that we will attract the target audience of fashion re-sale shoppers. The advantage for buyers is that there are no shipping fees and since they have an opportunity to see the item before purchasing they can verify authenticity/condition and try it on for size.
