EyeFocus is fully independent, and sponsored by Bayer, Zeiss Ventures and Peppermint Ventures. It will bring together experts from the digital health startup space, investment, and ophthalmology to promote innovation in a huge market that is in need of disruptive products. Globally, 280m people are visually impaired, and 39m totally blind. 80% of eye disease can be cured, but innovation is required to help diagnose and treat it.
