Testing can be performed from specimens as simple as one swab, detect bacteria in the presence of antibiotics, and simultaneously identify bacteria, viruses, and parasites. DIATHERIX uses a multiplex PCR amplification process called Target enriched multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction (Tem-PCR) to provide its accurate, timely, and meaningful diagnostic services. In combination, DIATHERIX utilizes the microarray detection platform to attain the highest possible accuracy in the detection of infectious disease organisms. Results are typically reported the same day the specimen arrives at our laboratory.
