TraceX Guard provides real-time protection against a broad range of mobile threats, including viruses, spyware, trojans, worms, ransomware, phishing attempts, and malicious applications. The software combines antivirus protection with network monitoring, identity security, and device management features within a single application.

Unlike traditional mobile antivirus tools that rely primarily on signature-based detection, TraceX Guard uses artificial intelligence and behavioral analysis to identify suspicious activity, enabling it to detect previously unknown or modified malware variants.

Development and purpose

TraceX Guard was developed in response to the sharp rise in Android-based cybercrime incidents in India. A significant number of fraud cases involved malicious APK files distributed through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and SMS links.

Many fraudulent applications were found impersonating government services and public utilities, including traffic challan portals, transport services, and financial assistance schemes. Other malicious apps were disguised as invitation-only platforms, rewards programs, or adult-content applications to trick users into installing harmful software.

TraceX Labs designed TraceX Guard to detect such deceptive applications before installation or execution, aiming to reduce financial fraud, unauthorized data access, and identity theft. The solution targets a wide user base, including senior citizens, professionals, students, and law enforcement personnel.
