t Sequoia Software. By the time we went public I was serving as the company's VP of Marketing and was responsible for positioning our business as a leading solution provider in the corporate portal industry.
After leaving Sequoia, I went on to found Velaro, Inc. with a long time friend and business partner. We chose a different path and never raised a penny in outside funding. We grew Velaro to a multi-million dollar leading live chat vendor and helped pioneer that space. During our growth, my partner and I tag teamed leadership roles and would re-arrange our strategic responsibilities often.
Eventually the "startup" bug came back and I needed to start something new. After a couple attempts at a few other ideas, I invented and founded StatusCast, a corporate status page application that allows companies to keep their employees and customers informed when things aren't going "quite right". I now spend my days nurturing this business in hopes of seeing it be as successful as my previous ventures.
