compromising quality.
It was established as a B2B Managed Marketplace, based on technology resources designed to empower SMBs to further their businesses, by democratizing their access to personalized and customized products.
The idea first floated when two co-founders needed to go to a copy center, and noted that a business card costed € 0.50 – the price of a coffee. From that moment onwards, they began to wonder: if one were able to pool several small orders into one large order, perhaps it would be possible to reduce prices… and that is precisely what happened. A strikingly clear business opportunity had therefore been identified: high-quality graphic products should be made available to SMBs at affordable prices.
Our business is based on the fabless model, meaning that we do not have our own production, harnessing the existing production capacity of our suppliers instead. We have access to a wide network of local partners, which allows us to secure a value proposition that is more cost effective than the ones from our competitors. In this context, 360imprimir manages the bids submitted by the different partners, so that we always find the most competitive offer for each customer (best value for money). Furthermore, we guarantee short delivery times and very competitive logistic costs in each and every order.
In 2016 we were already operating in 4 countries – Portugal, Spain, Brazil and Mexico. 360imprimir closed 2016 with a € 6M turnover. In 2017 and 2018 in the same four markets, we closed with € 12M and € 21M turnovers, respectively. 2019 is expected to close with a € 35M turnover, and 2021 with € 100M.
In April 2019, an investment of 18 million euros was made by the German group Metro AG as a leader of such investment, together with Pathena and Omnes Capital (companies which were already shareholders of 360imprimir), as well as the Portuguese Government, via the 200M Fund. This investment was one of the biggest series b funding rounds ever made in Portugal, thereby allowing us to enter 17 new markets also in April, under a new brand name (360onlineprint). These 17 countries include the United States, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, among others.
360imprimir now has more than 400 products of 7 different ranges (small scale, large scale, stamps, magnets, gifts, textile goods and design services) and our goal is to achieve 20,000 products by 2021, by expanding our current product ranges to other products such as packaging, bags, professional products, furniture, 3D printing, food products, among others.
